REFUND POLICY

Barnette Seminars and Real Estate School is committed to student satisfaction. If you are unsatisfied for any reason, Barnette Seminars and Real Estate School will refund the purchase price of any course if the refund request is submitted within 30 days of purchase, prior to course expiration, and the course is not more than 50% completed.

PROMOTIONAL CODES

Promotional codes must be applied at checkout. No refund for an unused promotional code will be given after checkout has been completed. To obtain your promotional code discount, you must enter the promotional code in the box under your total at checkout and click the "Apply Discount" button. The discount amount will then be subtracted from the total amount due. Promotional codes cannot be combined and are not eligible for use in conjunction with payment plans, extensions, or additional continuing education certificates.

CE HOURS OR NOT FOR CREDIT HOURS

When a course is approved for state CE credit, the hours of approval will be reflected under the "Elective" or "Mandatory/Core/Law/Required" column headings in the respective catalog it was ordered from. If the course hours are listed ONLY in the "Total" column, the course DOES NOT carry any CE credit in that state.

SALES TAX

Due to the tax law which mandates that online businesses must collect sales tax in certain states, if your state requires sales tax to be collected, it will automatically be added to the total amount due at checkout.
 
 PRE-LICENSING EDUCATION

Barnette Seminars and Real Estate School’s Pre-Licensing courses expire six months after the date of purchase. Extensions cannot be granted beyond 6 months from the purchase of the course.  The course terminates 6 months after purchase.

Pre-Licensing courses must be completed within 180 days of enrollment.

EXAMP PREP EDGE

Exam Prep Edge courses expire 15 (fifteen) months from the date of purchase. Extensions are not applicable to Exam Prep Edge products.

CONTINUING EDUCATION AND POST-LICENSING EDUCATION

Continuing Education Courses:
 
 Expiration Date of Course: Courses expire 30 days from the order date pursuant to the NC REC. Re-enrollment will be required if the course is not completed 30 days from the order date. Regardless of order date, courses must be completed before June 10th, each year. A student shall not register for any course between June 11th and June 30th, inclusive, of any approval period. Further, a student shall complete the course within 30 days of the date of purchase of the course but in no event later than June 10th of that approval period. In other words, if you purchase a North Carolina course, it will expire 30 days from time of purchase or by June 10 of that approval period, whichever occurs first.  
 
 Reporting: The state requires schools to report course completions within five to seven days from the course completion date. Course completions will be reported within this time frame.

Final Exams: Final exams must be passed with at least a 75% and may be taken as many times as necessary in order to pass.

Post-Licensing Courses:

COMPLETION REQUIREMENTS

Students must spend all required seat time engaged in the course material to receive credit for the course. In those states that require monitored seat time, our online course delivery system manages this requirement for you.

EXAMINATIONS

The following terms apply to exams:

Unit Exams are presented at the conclusion of each unit, with a varying number of questions depending on the amount of content contained in each unit. Unit exams can be retaken as many times as necessary.

ATTENDANCE AND PROGRESS POLICY

Students must complete 100% of the learning material presented in a course and demonstrate mastery of the material by passing all quizzes and the final exam to receive credit hours for the course. Students not completing 100% of the material will not be issued a Certificate of Completion will not receive credit hours for the course. Students must spend a minimum of 50 minutes per hour of approved credit in the learning management system. Example: for a 3-credit hour course, a student must be actively engaged in the course for 150 minutes (3 X 50 minutes).
